Most firms settle. We try cases — and insurers price that in when they make you an offer.

Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every case is decided on its own facts.

You should walk away with more than your lawyer does.

Most contingency firms take their percentage and that’s the end of it — even when medical liens and litigation costs leave you with less than the firm collected. We don’t do that. When the math works out against you, we cut our own fee until you’re ahead. It is in writing, and it has cost us money more than once.
Ask any lawyer you’re considering whether they’ll put that in your contract.

what happens next

Three Steps, Starting Today

01

Give Us A Call

Tell us what happened. The consultation is free and there is no obligation. If we’re not the right firm for your case, we’ll say so and point you somewhere better.

02

Get Medical Care

Treatment protects your health and documents your injuries. When cost is the obstacle, we can help arrange care on a lien so you’re seen now, not after settlement.

03

We Build the Case

We investigate, preserve evidence, negotiate the liens, and prepare to try the case. You pay nothing unless we recover for you.

A New Orleans Firm, Not A Billboard

Robert Manard grew up in New Orleans, went to Tulane Law, and opened this practice more than fifty years ago. Wendy Manard followed him to Tulane and now leads the firm.

That matters for a practical reason: we know the parishes, the courtrooms, and the adjusters. And unlike many high-volume firms, we have actually tried cases here — over a hundred of them. Insurance carriers keep track of which lawyers will go to trial, and it changes what they offer.

What Our Clients Say

Common Questions

Answers Before You Call

For most injuries occurring on or after July 1, 2024, Louisiana allows two years from the date of the accident. Injuries before that date are generally governed by the old one-year deadline. Because the cutoff depends on your accident date and shorter deadlines apply to claims against government entities, confirm your specific deadline with a lawyer rather than assuming.

Nothing up front, and nothing at all unless we recover money for you. We work on contingency, and we go further than most firms: when medical liens and case costs would leave you with less than we collected in fees, we reduce our fee until you’re ahead.

Most cases settle. But we prepare every case as though it will be tried, because that preparation is what produces a fair settlement offer. If the insurer won’t be reasonable, we’re prepared to put it in front of a jury.

It depends on your medical treatment, lost income, the permanence of your injuries, and the available insurance coverage. Be skeptical of any lawyer who quotes a number before reviewing your records. We’ll give you an honest range once we’ve seen the file.

Not before someone independent reviews it. Early offers usually come before the full extent of an injury is known, and accepting one typically closes your claim permanently. A free review costs you nothing and takes about fifteen minutes.
